Take Care ♡

Happy Sunday, y’all.

While all of this “Stay at Home” life has become pretty consuming, I’ve decided today is my day to reset and get ready for the new week.

I think I cracked yesterday actually, which resulted in me feeling the incessant need to just get my shit together!

Since I’m not in the salon for the foreseeable future, I thought about how I really want to come out of this pandemic personally. All I knew when I asked myself this, was that I wanted to maintain my health and business without losing all of the progress I’ve made in regard to both of these areas.

I’ve been working non-stop since I established my LLC about 2 years ago. The progress, knowledge and skills I’ve accumulated over that time have gotten me to where I am now as an independent artist. The main downside of all of this is how much it feels like my hard work is having to come to a screeching halt. However, I am not going to let myself regress. So, I have to demand growth and progress from myself.

I’ve never been a beacon of consistency, but what better time than now to change that?

Thus, today’s objective: Take Care.

I listed my reading list which is comprised of all the books I’ve been putting off until now. The list ranges from different genres and emotions, but I’m happy to do any activity that doesn’t involve a screen.

I never realized how hard it is for me to just READ. But hey, something to practice for sure.

Starting with The Secret History by Donna Tartt and an at-home facial, I’m dedicating today to unplugging and practicing the state of being present (with a side of self-care). Even if you don’t like reading, slap on a face mask, listen to one of your favorite albums all the way through, and give yourself some TLC, whatever that may look like for you.

Stay safe, everyone ♡

xoxo
